Louise Needham – Co-opted Governor

My name is Louise Needham and I am a local Headteacher. I have taught across many schools in the Derbyshire and Derby City area. I have been recognised as a Specialist Leader of Education (SLE) from the National College and have worked across several schools improving standards and raising attainment in reading. I have a BA Hons degree in Business and Finance, and experience of working across other sectors including Human Resource Management, Recruitment and the Fire Service. 

I am passionate about young people achieving regardless of their background. The opportunity to become a governor at Newton Primary School allows me to use my skills and expertise to help provide the very best opportunities for the children on Newton and give them the very best possible start in life.
