Call 999 immediately.
Use 999 when:
- a child or another person is in immediate danger;
- a serious crime is taking place; or
- urgent police or ambulance assistance is required.
Urgent concern about a child

Contact Call Derbyshire immediately if you believe a child is suffering, or is at risk of, significant harm.
Police — non-emergency
Call 101
Use 101 to report a crime or concern that does not require an immediate emergency response.
Urgent medical help
Call NHS 111 or use NHS 111 online
Use NHS 111 when medical help is needed urgently but the situation is not life-threatening.

Early Help for our families
At Newton Primary School, we are committed to supporting our children and families. Our Pastoral Manager, Mrs Carol Wain, provides pastoral and early-help support for pupils and parents and carers.
Mrs Wain may be able to offer support with:
- attendance concerns;
- Team Around the Family meetings;
- behaviour at home;
- individual and group pastoral interventions;
- support for pupils with additional needs; and
- positive lunchtime provision.

For non-urgent safeguarding communication during school holidays, please email safeguarding@newton.derbyshire.sch.uk.
This email address must not be used to report an emergency or an immediate concern that a child is at risk of significant harm. School email accounts may not receive an immediate response outside normal school hours.
