I live in Newton having moved to the area from South Yorkshire back in the summer of 2014. I have one child currently at the school and one hopefully due to start in Sept 2022, which has created a vested interest for me to see the school do well. 

I believe strongly in primary education and reminisce about my own, as being the driver for my success in education, allowing me to achieve a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics with International Relations. As such, being involved in the school as a governor, has allowed me to support the school to become a great, safe place to learn and provide the opportunities for the children to reach their own potential that I enjoyed.

I have a background, through my full-time work, within training and education. I am a passionate rugby league fan, where I am a qualified coach, having worked within the professional game for a short time and in the amateur game, coaching a variety of different age groups ranging from primary age to adults.
