My name is Mick Green and I became a Governor at Newton Primary when my children attended the school.  I have chaired the Governing Board for five years until recently stepping down whilst retaining responsibility for Safeguarding and chairing the Resources Committee. I have two children with SEND and supporting them through their educational journey equips me with knowledge and experience that I utilise within my role.

I am a Design Engineer by profession and a Director of a social care company where we pride ourselves on teaching life skills and supporting with job opportunities for vulnerable young people and adults.  I am a firm believer that everyone has a valuable contribution to make and we should all support each other to reach our full potential.
